Jeong-ah Woo’s Portfolio

I started my career as a book designer, and the typography I learned making books is still what I'm most confident in. I went on to design UI that runs on hardware, like kiosks used overseas and Astell&Kern's audio players, and for the past four years I've focused on complex software like ProtoPie Studio and Lottie Creator.

I enjoy designing within constraints. I want to make tools that are intuitive for first-time users and efficient for experienced ones. I pay attention to even small interactions, and when a question lingers, I find the answer by building something and testing it with users.

Lately, I've been building working prototypes with AI tools and refining designs by fixing the code myself after development. I'm expanding my work from design all the way to implementation.

I also enjoy solving hard problems with others. At SK, I led design thinking workshops for cross-functional stakeholders, helping teams approach problems from a design perspective. Today, I work with a remote team across time zones.

I'm based in South Korea and work in both Korean and English.
